Danfoss Expands VSD Portfolio to Reduce Industrial Energy Costs
Danfoss Drives has unveiled an expanded variable speed drive portfolio designed to help industrial facilities cut energy consumption by up to 30 percent while improving process control.
Danfoss Drives has announced a major expansion of its variable speed drive (VSD) portfolio with new drive families optimized for energy-intensive industrial applications. The drives target up to 30 percent reduction in electricity consumption through precise motor speed control.
The expanded portfolio includes drives with enhanced harmonic mitigation, integrated safety functions, and native IoT connectivity. Danfoss latest power module technology reduces cooling requirements and enables more compact cabinet designs.
With industrial motor systems accounting for approximately 45 percent of global electricity consumption, VSDs remain the most effective technology for reducing industrial energy use. The portfolio expansion supports the industry transition toward energy-efficient, digitally connected production.
